Plans & Pricing
Payments have to be made by the 27th day of the month for the following month through our website. The monthly fee includes 4 lessons a month. One lesson a week. The duration of the lesson can be either thirty minutes, forty - five minutes or sixty minutes in duration. Longer lesson times can be arranged where needed. Please contact the school for further details. info@roamusic.ca is the email address. In a calendar year, there will be months where there are five weeks which results in five lessons that month. When this happens, an additional payment for the fifth lesson will be required to be paid at the beginning of that month. If your payment does not go through due to an expired card, please notify the Royal Ontario Academy of Music as soon as possible. Lessons will be paused during this time. You will have one week from the date the payment is declined to repurchase your monthly plan with an updated payment method. If an updated payment method has not been provided within this time, all lessons will cease.

There are no long-term contracts—you’re free to cancel at any time, simply by notifying ROAM by the 15th of the month. Monthly Subscription: All payments are made monthly in advance as a subscription through the ROAM website. All monthly subscriptions will include 4 lessons, where each lesson would typically take place once a week. On certain months with 5 weeks, please note that you will still be paying the same amount for 4 lessons. Over the course of one calendar year (52 weeks), you will be paying for only 48 weeks. This means that you have the option of pausing lessons for one month (which is reserved for either July or August). If you know that you will be away for an extended leave of absence longer than 2 weeks, please let us know at least two weeks in advance.
Cancellations: You must contact both your teacher and ROAM at least a day in advance. Simply email your teacher and copy ROAM administration (info@roammusic.com) with the date and time of the class that you would like to cancel, as well as the reason for the cancellation. Refunds and credits will not be given for cancelled lessons, regardless of the reason. Instead, all class cancellations MUST be made by the parent/student at least a day before the lesson. If a class is cancelled at least a day in advance, you will be required to schedule a makeup lesson with your teacher and you will have until the end of the following month to do so. If a class is cancelled on the day of your lesson, it must be due to an extenuating circumstance (for example, the student is sick, a family member passes away, inclement weather, etc.). In extenuating circumstances, you will still be required to schedule a makeup lesson with your teacher by the end of the following month. If no attempt has been made to reschedule a makeup lesson by the end of the following month, unfortunately, this class will be forfeited and you will not be able to make up the lesson again. If a student does not show up to a lesson without notifying the teacher and ROAM, the student will not be allowed to make up that lesson, and the class will be forfeited. If you know that you will be on an extended leave of absence (more than 2 weeks), please contact ROAM admin immediately at info@roammusic.com.
Makeup Lessons: You have the following options when it comes to scheduling a makeup lesson:
a) Choose another day of the week to have your makeup lesson.
b) Combine your makeup lesson with your regular lesson.
c) If none of the above options are available, as a last resort, ROAM will arrange a substitute teacher for your makeup lesson. Please reach out to us via email as soon as possible if you need to request a substitute teacher. Substitute teachers may only be requested if your regular teacher is unable to have a makeup class for whatever reason.
Stopping Lessons: If you would like to stop lessons, you will need to notify ROAM by the 15th of the month along with the reason for stopping lessons. You will need to complete an exit survey. For more details please read our full Studio Policy at roammusic.com/music-lessons
