A Message From the Founder
Hello. My name is William and I am the Owner and School Director for the Royal Ontario Academy of Music. I have taught piano for over three decades and have experience teaching students ranging in age from five to ninety. I have also helped students achieve their musical goals whether it be to play the piano, the alto saxophone for pleasure or to take examinations at the Royal Conservatory of Music. In addition to teaching piano and the alto saxophone, I have also taught theory to students from the beginner levels to university levels. Students who have studied with me have achieved grades from First Class Honours with Distinction to Honours in piano, alto saxophone and theory exams. When planning lessons for students, I take the time to tailor the individual needs for each student so that every student is able to succeed and achieve their full musical potential. I have also prepared students for music auditions to get into universities and schools for the arts, as well as writing and arranging music for musical ensembles.
In addition to teaching piano, theory and the alto saxophone, I am also a certified school teacher in the public school system where I have worked in the City of Toronto for the past twenty - four years. During this time, I have been a classroom teacher where I have taught students in the primary and junior grades in Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Art, Dance, Drama and Computers. Therefore, I am aware of the various teaching/ learning styles. Furthermore, I am also the choir director of an adult choir.
If I have the honour and privilege of teaching your child, I will ensure that we are able to achieve your child's musical goals.
On behalf of the Royal Ontario Academy of Music, I would like to welcome you and your family to the Music Academy where musical dreams become reality.
